I'm down for round #2, and with a trip to Colorado next week, maybe I can find the $$ shot. Just gotta get Flybob to model for me. :bananadance:

Dang, Thanks for the offer Curtis, but I am really swamped at work, maybe next year! :D

You might as well close the contest now - I have the winning photo right here. This picture counts because it was taken in November (today), it was taken near a river and it was taken and eaten during a fishing trip. Darn that Richard Cullip for leading me into temptation with his burger picture from this restaurant in a different thread. My diet is shot in just one meal, especially since I went for the onion rings. You can send me that flybox anytime, Benny. Of course, you could let the contest run until the end of the month, but can there be any doubt? Huh? Huh? Huh? That's right, baby, the fly box is mine. :D

Well, its early in the month, how's this for starters, 2 Nov. One of a few nice fish taken on my new Graywolf S-glass 5wt that Shane Gray built for me. He does exceptional work.

I can't decide if Papa's burger shot was intentionally snapped with the bite taken out. Was it to add some artistic character to the image? Is it supposed to impart a feeling of total gratification to all those that view? Or, was he just really hungry and didn't think to take the picture until afterward?

Oh, the possibilities! I think it best to keep the mystery alive...

The burger pic needs a nice micro brew label to make it complete. Still, it looks enjoyable. Where was it cooked up? Credits?

Darn, you're right! I might lose the November photo contest because of that oversight! That was from the RiverKern General Store. Richard C. put up a report a couple of weeks ago with two pictures - one of a nice fish and one of a bacon cheeseburger with fries from there and he was trying to decide which was better. :D In all the times I have gone up to Kernville I've never eaten there - Richard's picture made me do it. Actually I did buy a microbrew there at the store (IPA 395 from MBC) to savor later, but a late hatch of tiny mayflies came off just as it was getting dark and I ended up staying on the river later than planned, so I'll be trying it tonight (never had it before). Btw, I would like to thank Mr. Rim Chung for inventing the fly that got me into some small but feisty wild trout for the evening hatch. ;) Sorry Benny, the burger picture was the picture that came out best from that trip. I will try to do better as the month progresses and replace it with something a bit fishier (fish tacos from the KRBC perhaps?)

That's either a really small reel, or that fish is packing a lot of junk in her trunk. :P
