Hello, all!

For topics that don't seem to have a home elsewhere.

Hello, all!

Postby JohnnyWindKnots » November 16th, 2011, 11:27 am

Hi everyone,

My name is Joel, and I was tipped off to this site by the one and only Curtis (thanks, man!).
Anyhow, I live in Fort Collins and guide for two area shops - St. Peter's and Kirk's - and usually teach high school English in the off-season. For the next two years, however, I'm on the other side of the desk, working on a MA in nonfiction writing at Colorado State.

This board looks awesome, by the way! I am glad to be a part.

I am always happy to provide reports on the rivers I fish the most around here (Poudre, Big Thompson, Laramie, North Platte (mostly the Mile and Gray Reef sections), Encampment, and the Colorado) so if you find yourself in this neck of the woods don't hesitate to give me a shout.

Thanks again to Curtis for the invite.

Cheers,
Joel

Right on Joel! I'm still basking in the awesome Ft. Collins vibe. I'm glad you joined our band of misfits and look forward to some awesome TR's to re-live the experience.

Whew, Joel, thank God you posted and provided confirmation that Curtis actually fished while he was in Colorado! Some of us (ok, just me) were beginning to wonder if he had just photoshopped some trout pics into a report when he was really spending all of his time getting drunk in brew pubs. Welcome! Jon
