Of course, you could keep buying discount and Ebay and continue to visit the fly shops to pick their brains and use up their time for free, because the owners are good guys and they'll do that. It's your own personal choice. I'll get off my soapbox now, but I just wanted to stick up for the shop owners I know; David D'Beaupre (Sierra Trout Magnet), Ken Lindsay (Fishermen's Spot), Jimmie Morales (Yosemite Rivers), and Guy Jeans (Kern River Fly Shop).

Craig, I agree!!!!! well said

I just purchased these, http://www.redington.com/S-S-pr-1839.html

I am happy with them compared to my simms. I like these so much more. I am more comfortable in them and the seams aren't leaking. I do have to say I have had my simms for about 3 years now though. I just like how the redington waders fit though. Up to you but I am happy with my purchase.

Sounds to me like the Reds. are just as good of quality as the Simms, but I haven't heard anything about Redingtons handles warranty work. Have you had any issues in that dept? Where did you get them from, I am going to try on what I buy, and I haven't seen any in So-Cal.

I haven't had to deal with the warranty yet so I don't know how work in that department. I can't help you in that area. I can only tell you what I like.

I heard Orvis is suing Redington for their seamless technology.... Anyone hear of this?
Apparently Redington stole the method and tech from Orvis and Orvis had patented it... Now they are selling it at a lower price point. I mean if it's the same thing and Orvis is suing them then why not get the same quality for less? If Orvis wins then there will be a c&a so get them now before they are gone...

I just added Redington waders and boots into the online store (http://shop.sierratroutmagnet.com). While I was doing so, I noticed the following "feature" listed on their waders:

Seam technology licensed via Orvis Patent 7,770,235

Apparently whatever issue there was has been ironed out via licensing the technology. I have decided my next waders will be the Sonic-Pro Stocking Foots. David has some and really likes them.

Very interesting, I had no idea the suit was even over. Thanks for the update.

I like the Simms for the quality and the customer service.

When I bought waders, I checked the Simms sizing chart and I was on the bubble for (2) different sizes.

I called Simms customer service and gave them all the measurements and they recommended the right size, I bought them from a local shop and was good to go.
