She sure looks great!

For you who missed the fly fishing show... it was small but fun. Mostly be cause of all the people I rarely see. One in special. Our own Sherry. Now there's a gal who was looking great and had a handsome smiling man on her arm. Ran into them at the Tenkara booth, where else. Chatted with Ms. S and she is just fabs! Feeling great, looking good and ready to hit the waters. Oh by the way... Karen fell into the Tenkara trap, set up by the friendly smiling pusher, Rich himself. "Oh, come over here and try it out." he says to the innocent blue eyed Karen. With in moments she had fallen in love with the rod and BINGO walks out of the show with a new ITO, line, leader and flies. (Flies cuz I told her I wasn't going to tie them for her and she'd have to learn... she paid instead.) Sherry and the rest of us gals have got to hit the water with Tenkara!!!

And Rick...thank you. You know what I mean.

That's great to hear about Sherry, Ariel. :D :D :D

I think you'll both enjoy tenkara. It is fast becoming my favorite way to fish streams. I'd love to get a couple different rods though. So far I've just the 11-foot Iwana and I like to add to that. Maybe one of the 13-foot (Ayu, Amago or Ito).

Did you two take in one of the Casting demos with Daniel?
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

why do you think they call it "I wan a" nother rod!!! ololol Karen cast with Rick, but we did have chat with Daniel for about 1/2 hour. They say the ITO is the best all round rod for our type of waters, excluding the tiny streams.

Thanks so much for your kind words Ariel. It was so nice to see you and Karen again after such a long time. Let's not let that happen again. I know Karen will love the Ito as much as I do. It will be fun to use on the water you'll be fishing.

The show was small like Ariel said but it was so much fun. I'd love to do it again some time should Daiel decide to do another show on our neck of the stream.

Hi fflutterffly,

I fell under the same Tenkara MOJO...........I to bought the "ITO". I recognized the name tag of the gentleman helping me, Rick Setina. I've seen his posts on our board before and put 2 and 2 together. Can't wait to use rod!!!!!!

Man, I hope she didn't walk by the Tenkara booth too - that would sure be awkward if Rick saw her with a handsome guy on her arm. :o

Tankera always sounded like I was about to get dropkicked
Sure looks fun.
I missed it. Couldn't make it out there this year. I hear it was an awesome show.
