Freenstone graphite Fly rods

Anyone know of Freestone graphite rods. They are sold and were developed through Len Codella. He is the person who sells new and used bamboo, glass and graphite rods and used and new reels and other classic tackle. He has been in business for quite a few years. They look like nice rods but they sell for $1, 250.00(WOW). It seems the late Sam Durkham of Winston and Sweetgrass rod design fame help developed this series. I wonder how many rods have been sold at that price? I think Tom Morgan(former Winston Rod Company owner) charges about the same for his graphite and glass rods.

Ouch..... But then again, compared to Sweetgrass, that's a bargain.

Freenstone graphite Fly rods

I guess they can charge so much for graphite, because they can get so much for their nodeless bamboo rods. I think I would just as soon look at Sage or Loomis rods for the money.

Well, looks like we have another catch phrase in fly fishing. Finite Element Analysis, or FEA.

Never heard of Freestone rods before, but have certainly heard of Eden Cane. Both are very nice looking rods. I appreciate the subtle, and classic look of the Freestone, but no way I'd pay that much, even if I had the expendable income. I think it's great that some people do.
