The Casting Committee of the Southwest Council FFF is offering a "Teach the Teachers" series of classes again this year. The classes will be held from 9am - noon on all four Saturdays in January (5, 12, 19, and 26) at the Long Beach Casting Club, http://www.longbeachcastingclub.org/ . The purpose of the series is to offer continuing education to anyone who teaches casting classes. Last year we had over 40 students from many of the clubs in the SWC. Emphasis is on HOW TO TEACH the three basic casts, and how to diagnose and correct the most common faults related to the basic casts. Other techniques to be covered include specific techniques for teaching shooting line, simple mends, and accuracy. Cost is $40. For FFF members and $50 for nonmembers.
