Opening Day Plans this weekend.

I have a honey do list and will be working this weekend so no fishing for me.

I'll be hitting either the beach or the bay. The opening day madness of the Eastern Sierra holds no attraction for me.

What's this "opening day" you speak of? Only thing I'll be opening is a couple of IPAs or a good bottle of Merlot. Heck I even hate fishing weekends, so opening day of trout season is a nonstarter.

Where I live and fish, "Opening Day" has lost any real meaning to me. Having said that, I hope to be bass fishing.

Ditto what Brian said. All my fav trout fisheries are already open and I've already nailed my big 'uns for the year. I'll be shad fishing instead (but not on weekends!) which doesn't have an opening day!
