I looked out the window last night and it's scary looking when the hillside above La Canada is glowing orange all night.

I should have taken some photos from where I was yesterday but I didn't have a camera. Was in altadena area and could see the flames quite clearly. It's scary how much area that fire is covering...

Was that a legal marijuana growing operation, by legal US growers, or by illegal south of the border growers.

Most "legal" growers won't be having cooking fires as they are more fixed base oriented. I have a cousin legally growing up north. He lives in a very nice yurt on land he owns. I imagine these growers will be found to be illegal in more ways than one.
