They've been great, and I'm tough on them and don't really clean them or do anything special after I wear them. Basically, I let them dry in the backyard, and then toss them on top of my float tube until next time. I've had no issues, and they have two chest pockets for gear, as well as a fleece lined hand pocket. I would definitely buy another pair.

Five years wearing Frogg Toggs and beat the heck out them before they started leaking. I would buy again.

With that being said...I was just blessed with a new pair of Simms and can't wait to abuse them :)

Simms here too. Burly Gore-Tex and just about every fit imaginable.

Made in the USA. I will pay extra for that.

Do it.

Wildman I will say, I have a pair of Guide boots, because my feet are particular, I had the freestone boots, and sold them to my brother, the guides are nice, lightweight and rugged.

Simms. I beat the * out of them, have over a hundred days on them, and yes, while there are some aquaseal spots from barb wire and brush cuts, they still work.

Yay! Another Yellowstone Angler Shootout!! :bananadance: :bananadance: ;)

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have one issue with most of Simms waders. The calf area is cut too tight. It doesn't bother me when I'm wearing them. Just when I take them off, it makes it more difficult than it has to be......and I don't have big calves either. I tried different models to see if they fit differently, but all the new models seem to fit the same. Taking off my new pair last night confirmed it. My original Guide model gave plenty of room around the calf area. The other brands I have give plenty of room too.

I agree 100%. And don't ask me how I dislocated a finger, tore the tendons in said finger, and lost three months of fishing time waiting for the tendon to reattach/heal last year whilst trying to pull off a pair of Simms G3 waders from the calf area!!!

I have nothing but good things to say about simms products, they stand behind them 100%,
i bought a pair of blackfoots and they were ok but leaked after about 100 hrs of use so i sent them back and they sent me a brand new pair. After about 50 hrs those leaked also so they gave me credit towards a set of G4 waders and they have been the best waders I have ever owned. They also sent me a brand new pair of Blackfoots on accident so I called them and they said to keep them as an extra set!!!

If calves were boobs, I'd be Dolly Parton. Or Morganna the Kissing Bandit... The g3's seem to do good. I'd say its the extra layers built in to prevent scuffing that makes them difficult to step out of.

I had to google Morganna

I tried the G3s on, and they were still tight. Same for the other models, except the Guides. They did not have those in stock. Could be the extra layers, or the stiffness in the fabric. Whatever the case, taking them off is dangerous, and possibly hazardous to your health. Just ask Bob! ;)

Plus, no one could see his tight, circa 80's Magnum PI shorts he likes to fish in...

Seriously, Simms is the way to go. You get what you pay for.

Have you seen the new Orvis waders? They're convertible. You can turn them into pant waders.
