Sorry guys, blame Darrin. Darrin told me about this forum so I thought I would check in and see how everybody is doing. I reconize a lot of folks from various forums so I don't feel much like a Newbie forum member.

Welcome!
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

A little pimpin' is a good thing…

Sooo, now that Pete is here too, I figured it might be time to pimp him out a bit. You see, he captured the attention of Cameron Mortenson, author of the Fiberglass Manifesto and moderator over at the Fiberglass Flyrodders board. Cam decided to do a little write up on Pete and his rod building skilz:

Go ahead, click it and read The Fiberglass Manifesto or T.F.M.

Pretty cool, huh?

One of these days :gun: Big Daddy "D" one of these days. Although I do love that rod, cast like a dream. You are going to have to cast it with one of the Furled leaders I am making  .

Welcome Pete! Glad you found your way over here. Nice build on that fiberglass also. You ever make up a Tom Morgan Fiberglass? Blanks are pretty pricey, but curious how they compare to a Steffen or McFarland

midger,

Eventually I want to add a Morgan and McFarland to the Glass quiver. I have seen pics of the Morgan but, since they are so new I haven't heard too much. If they were designed by Tom Morgan, you know they are a fishing machine. They are a beautiful blank. As far as the McFarland, Bill Y. built one and really liked it unitl he broke it .
