G Loomis Reels

Postby flocktothewall » January 3rd, 2014, 3:55 pm

Did G Loomis stop making reels? Im building a 4wt rod, and was looking at picking up a venture reel to match it. But Loomis has nothing about fly reels on their website and most of the stores don't seem to have any indication of Gloomis reels anymore.

Am I missing something?

They stopped a few years ago. Shimano owns them these days, I believe they stopped producing reels around the time of the buy out.

Bummer, the shimano version can be found on ebay sometimes. Same reel different label.
