This weekend's snowfall

Postby Papasequoia » March 30th, 2014, 3:08 pm

I just ran across this on the weather underground and since it features so many places that many of us know I thought I would post it. We are still in a huge deficit, but every little bit helps. Mammoth is reporting 9-16" in the last 24 hours with several more storms stacked up and on the way in.

That is good news! It appears moisture is lining up coming into California. Let it snow, and rain :)

Not to sure on the amount of snow fall or rain this might produce, but climatologists are predicting a 60%-80% chance of an El Nino this year. Which if like previous El Nino years we get some very significant storms stacked back to back. Lots of rain mixed with snow at the higher elevations.
