Fly Fishing Traditions Website

Postby BigKahuna » April 4th, 2014, 9:30 am

I want to introduce myself to this board, I'm Clay Hash, aka Big Kahuna. I have a website http://www.flyfishingtraditions.com that is an educational fly fishing site. It is basically a website of tips and techniques. You can navigate to topics such as;

Bugs - This is an entomology section that talks about all the bugs that are important to fly fishers in the west

Lower Yuba River Hatch Chart - This hatch chart shows the bugs and how to match them, time of year, patterns, etc. This info works pretty much anywhere in Northern California

Techniques - A section that shares info on casting, tactics, and lots of tips

There is a small section about Workshopss that I do and what I call "Floating Clinics" on the Lower Yuba, We all have to make a few bucks, huh?

There is also a link to my Fly Fishing Blog which is http://www.flyfishingtraditions.blogspot.com where I am currently posting a series of articles about spey casting. It is also my place for random thoughts that course through my brain, some relevant and some not. This blog has been active since 2010 with close to 400 blog posts. That's a lot of ramblings.

So, I'm glad to be on board and will chime in on posts in this forum from time to time as is appropriate.

Welcome. Looking forward to checking out your site. I used to fish the Yuba around Downieville years ago.

Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." It is best to weigh them while they are in the water. The only really large one I ever caught got away with my leader when I first struck him. He weighed ten pounds. —Charles Dudley Warner
