Yeah, but 60 of them have 0 posts. That scares me a bit, having 30% of our registered users making zero posts.

Thanks guys. Does the 200th member get a shopping spree at the local fly shop? I figured after several fishing trips with Craig, I should finally register and stop lurking as a guest. I have already enjoyed looking at some of the topics on the forum. It's a shame that I met Craig in the latter part of 2008 though, since I will be leaving Bakersfield in less than a month. I'll be heading back home to Colorado (Gunnison River, here I come) for a few months, then off to Kalamazoo, MI, where my wife will start her Pediatric residency. I will have at least 3 years to figure out the good fishing spots in Michigan. If anyone has fished in Michigan before and has some suggestions, I would love to hear them. Thanks.

a closed fishing post opt in place would be a great idea! Just as a suggestion, I belong to a huuuuge forum for reefkeeping (saltwater fish tanks) and they have many options available to forum members who meet a certain amount of posts... and they also police people so that they don't get to the 50 posts by saying "nice tank!" and "cool" 50 times in random forums. Maybe we could have something like that? I know I only have a few posts but I think that maybe a minimum post requirement should be set, or some other kind of way of getting people into a forum area where people can feel more comfortable and "loose" about talking and sharing experiences and pictures. Not only would that help protect places, but if most of us posted our experiences and photos there, we wouldn't have to doctor photos so much. Just an idea, what do you guys think?

I know its not directly related to this thread but what ever happened to making the Archives section opt-in? That might be a safe place to share fishing reports old and new.

it's interesting that a concern over members who don't post turns almost immediately into a discussion of how to exclude them further...maybe you've answered your own question...
