Can anyone give me some info on these little buggers?

Want to tie some up. Do they occur in the Kern? Owens? Size?.....

Yes to the Kern. I caught a rainbow on a stonefly nymph last week there. Not sure how big, maybe a #10?

Ck. Steve's site...Stones are always present in most Sierra waters in some instar. Most take from 1-3 years to mature so size them accordingly...

Small black needle stoneflies are on the rocks thru winter. Size 10-14, small. Black hares ear or pheasant tail tied slim work.
