Well I headed down to Yuma with the family and had some good fishing. Caught some nice smallies and a nice 6.1 LM that was already spawned out. Wish I caught her when she still had her eggs. My son caught some fish as well. Hopefully I can post some pics.

Nice LMB and looks like you all had a lot of fun. I'll bet your son had fun. Did he catch the small striper in the first picture?

Ryan,
A great post for two reasons.....You got your son on some fish and you caught some very nice fish. He will remember these times. Were those flies representing Shad?

Thanks for sharing.

Nice bass. There's nothing like getting the kids on the water.

Beast! Bet your son loved it too.
Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." It is best to weigh them while they are in the water. The only really large one I ever caught got away with my leader when I first struck him. He weighed ten pounds. —Charles Dudley Warner

Thanks everyone! Yeah my son loves to fish which is awesome! The fly pattern yes was to imitate a shad and works really well. Olive over silver was the best color. Here are some more pix of the previous weekend.
