Heenan, Carson & Washington Fire

Postby Ants » June 27th, 2015, 6:13 am

If anyone has immediate or long term plans to travel around Carson River, Heenan Lake, or Markleeville, it may be good to view updates on Washington Fire on Inciweb. The fire is about 18,000 acres and contained at 29 percent along the Carson River. Fire is burning around Heenan Lake. Highway 4 and 89 are closed in the area. No way of telling which way the smoke is moving.

My incident management team is next out the gate. The predictions this year are dire with the drought and a predicted series of lightning infused storms all along the western states.
