Trip coming up

Postby Wingnut » August 15th, 2016, 7:56 am

I am about to head out for Montana for a few weeks from the Bay Area. Going up by Lake Tahoe then on to SLC then up through Jackson Hole and on to MT.

Any advice on spots to fish around Tahoe and SLC would be welcomed. The rest I have sorted.

Cheers in advance,

The provo has big fish but is pretty packed and the bigguns are learned. I like the smaller and less packed Weber River around the town of Wanship. Lotsa browns 12-18" on dries and/or nymphs

I read somewhere that the Truckee had NZ mud snails in it. Is that true? I don't want to transplant them to other rivers.

Cheers for the info
