Sorry my mistake ...sometimes I still use a thingamabob , I was counting that. Which I don't really need while using a hoppinator . I just sometimes leave it on.

I think most of us use the Zee style nymph rig - three flies, using tag ends to probe the different water levels..... but I was more curious about the variations of the dry/dropper combo.

I have always used the hook to attach my dropper...

That's what I figured, my post where to tall. What I did was I just added a white foam post to a chernobyl ant I'll try it again with a smaller post or I'll just start from scatch and ty something else.
