Hotel in Bishop

Postby fflutterffly » September 4th, 2008, 5:31 pm

I have no idea where to post this.

We have always stayed at the El Rancho in Bishop, CA. Recently the manager Marge was removed from her position and a new manager, Susan, is now installed. I was afraid that the rates for fishing clubs would be discontinued, but was given the same rate as before. A room with a Kitchenette for $50.00. The place is always clean and quiet, except in hunting season. I was especially thankful for the honest maid-service which returned my Orvis Troutbum I'd left behind the door. The hotel held it for me till my return from Reno. Now that is special.

If you need a room please tell them you are with a fishing club, maybe we can give them the name fly fishing addicts Club and we can all get this rate in the future.

That's a deal...I know we have paid $70 for a stay at the thunderbird motel which is a dump. I'll keep his one in mind when it's too cold to camp. And the hunters will be in force starting Sept. 20, but only for a few weeks. Thanks for the tip.

I stay at El Rancho as well. When I've gone it's been like $50/55 a night or so. Someone said recently though that it was $75 on the weekend
