Ultralight shark fishing

Fishing is the most wonderful thing I do in my life, barring some equally delightful unmentionables.

I'm ashamed to say I plan to test cast some of Sage's latest saltwater rods this weekend. I should just borrow my daughter's Snoopy Rod(same as the barbie rod in the video)when I need a bigger gun.

That's pretty cool! He had that rod beefed up:

"The reel comes stock with 6lb test, I beefed it up for my daughter with 50lb braid " 12 pound diameter" and it had a 50lb mono leader on it"
Set the hook!

I think he's lucky that fish didn't make some long runs. The reel housing is mostly plastic. I'd guess the reel wouldn't take kindly to a hot drag housing resting in plastic.  Cool video, but I think it would be an even cooler video, watching the reel meltdown in his hands.

Bob, that's a cool picture. Thank God they get their looks from their mothers. ;)
