Ming,

It takes talent way beyond my capabilities to hook a sucker on a streamer. I can’t even hook a trout on a streamer. But that might have to do more with I never use them. Anyway nice catch sort-of! It’s a brave man to post a photo of a fish like that on this forum. :P

I was witness to BradW land (sorta) a nice big sucker above JD bridge on an olive G's catch em all streamer (my personal favorite).

But these are/were not normal suckers - they were feeding on emergers... they would position themselves perpendicular to the top of the water.. with their sucker mouths facing upstream catching bugs as they drifted down stream... kinda odd to watch suckers take emergers at a 90 degree angle to the water surface.

BTW, it was a pleasure meeting you yesterday Ming.

If you have never watched Ming fish, it is very enjoyable to watch him toss streamers long distances with pin-point accuracy. I should have just stopped fishing and watched. Casting stroke that is as graceful as any I have watched.

Honestly, I get great enjoyment out of watching others fly-fish.. I guess that started when I was a kid.

Eeww! You touched it!

I've snagged suckers with a streamer, but never fair hooked one. That's kind of cool that you did it.

Bill, it was great to run into ya on the river.....I'm glad you hook into some lunkers.. ..I saw that one that you hook, that was fun. Sometimes those tiny hooks just don't clench in..... but a lease it's better than not hooking up....... BTW, let me know how it goes on your trip. Have a great one.

Thanks for the positive comment on the cast.......Ming
