SW board gone for good?

SW board gone for good?

Postby Papasequoia » January 6th, 2010, 9:44 pm

Maybe I missed some mention elsewhere, or maybe it is just temporary, but I was trying to connect to the SW board over the last couple of days and it looks like it is gone or at least down. Is this permanent? Just curious, I had all but stopped posting and even browsing there, but still popped in from time to time.

Thanks, I was still trying to follow an old link to outdoors best forums. I had heard of some changes, but didn't realize it was the whole website address.

Jon, I've had no problems getting on you probably just need to use the link that Justin poted.

Along the same line, I have not been able to log on to the Guys site for a couple of weeks. I was still able to get on for a while after he changed things but not anymore. I sent him three e-mails asking about why I couldn't get on the site but didn't even get a reply.

The SW board is dead anyway.
Fishing is the most wonderful thing I do in my life, barring some equally delightful unmentionables.

Not sure what's going on with the SW board, there are still some people posting with not to many replying though.

Gary,
I have heard that about Guy's fourm. I think you have to be a member to log on now. As far as no return email from Guy, I think he closed the shop until next week. Maybe he is on vacation somewhere and just hasn't looked at his email for awhile!

Yea,
Ever since they change the format it died....I also think that it got too outta control with people arguing a bunch.
With the combination of the 2 I think it has gone down the tube... at least for now.

The fly tying section has also kinda died out. So it may just be that people don't like the new set up of the forums... I know I don't.

By the way the new FF Mag. has lost a bunch of advertising... it looks as thin as the Cliff Notes I used to get for school. I don't think they are doing very well....
