Snow pack in the Rockies

Greg (fishfreak911) and I are heading up to Idaho and Montana in August of this year. We plan on staying for 3 weeks. The Lamar valley in Yellowstone Park is one place we will hit hard. It looks like it will be a great year up there for fishing. The snow pack is way above normal. Here is a link to the amount of snow in the mountains; most of it has not even started to melt yet. In some of the drainages the snow pack is over 300% of normal.

Have fun up there. I hope to be in West Yellowstone in mid-Sept and the Lamar valley is one of the places I plan to fish.

My friends have literally been blown, snowed, and rained off the water up there this month. I am supposed to fish the Henry's Fork in Mid June but may just fish northern Cal unless the flows drop. We are headed up in late July to visit my daughter in Cody, and fish the Park. Can't wait.

Hopefully this year they can finally get Lake Powell and Lake Mead up to decent levels. I mean Powell is now but at the sacrifice of Mead, so maybe this year they can both get some boosts to their water levels.
