What are you doing sharing the covers with him? Next time he tries to "dutch oven" you, jump out and run away! That's why I'm starting to go bald... my wife is a master of the dutch oven. It's so bad my hair is falling out on top.

Oh wait... you meant cooking!

You can't beat a good dutch oven.....both kinds :o :o :o

How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

This is by far the best fly fishing forum for this area I have come across. Seems from lurking here a few days that everyone is really open.
To introduce myself:
I have been an avid fly fisherman for more than 15 years now.
I grew up in the San Bernardino Mountains in SoCal.
I have traveled and fished all over the states, but I consider the eastern Sierras my favorite and home waters foresure.
First fly fishing trip was to Hot Creek.
First fish on a fly was at McGee Creek.
Biggest fish to date is from Hot Creek.
Favorite water is the East Walker, particulary the Rosachi.
I have been tying for a few years.
I am trying to break the spell of the eastern sierras and venture out to learn and explore new waters. It is just hard to do when there is such killer water right here!
I have been living in Tahoe for about 10 years.
So now on with the enjoyment this forum will bring!

Welcome to the forum. WHereabouts in the SoCal Mountains? I live in Running Springs and am pretty familiar with waters from Big Bear West to Wrightwood.

Enjoy, and yes, for the most part it is pretty open here.
