Bob, that is the difference between a wood and metal worker. A good wood worker is one who can hide his mistakes!
Net update. I totally FUBARd the groove on the rim and now have to fix it. Should cost me 3 days. Ouch. This is the first one I couldn't just "blend in" to fix it. Oh well, that's what makes them unique.
