do you have BIG thumbs?

Postby AZURE » May 11th, 2012, 11:34 am

when I was being taught to cast a fly rod, the three instructors there during the explanation, I noticed their thumbs. I thought it was relatively big. eh whatever, everyone is unique in their own way.

when I was watching fly tying videos on youtube, I noticed the really experienced tiers also had relatively big thumbs. my logic was if they were experienced tiers, on average, the majority of them must fish a lot also.

kind of hard to tell when you compare your thumbs against each other, but when put next to someone else, how does it look?

so .......are your thumbs big? and should I expect to have big thumbs eventually?

just a "hmm", bored at work, curiosity question.

Aha! I have small thumbs, hence my lack of tying and casting ability.... Darn it. Size matters.....
