No, and the thread on the High Sierra Topix site is now locked after 27 pages of posts. As it turns out, he was highly skilled and frequently traveled off-trail. Best guess is that he took a fall, but we may never know.

They stopped the SAR a couple weeks ago. Area he was in is some of the toughest in the Sierra. RIP.
