Just got the mailing and PayPal info sent out to those who need it. For those who participated but didn't win an item, thanks you for your generosity and support, regardless. We hope to make this an annual event, so we'll see you next time.
Additionally, there were several members who contacted the Admin Team to send money just to help out. A deep thanks to you as well. Here's an excerpt from the PM to the participants regarding what the plans are...
"The monies we have raised will go towards maintaining and/or improving the FFA website. After all, it's our home, our online creek, our campfire, and our pub where stories become legend & friendships are cemented. The monies will also go towards seeding an FFA Store where we will offer t-shirts to start, and perhaps ball caps, etc as we go. This will hopefully allow for a sustaining income to keep the site going.
And, best of all, the monies will go back to our members and the various causes we support. One of our goals as an Admin Team was to create a component of giving back to a beautiful sport and it's participants. If a member is going thru a family crisis (sadly cancer seems to be an all too common occurrence), we can be in a position to show our support. If a member is being deployed, we can say farewell in a proper way, and welcome them home even better. If there are causes (Wounded Warrior, Cast for the Cure) that need help, we can now represent the FFA community."
And with that, Happy Holidays to You and Yours
The Admin Team
