It was a difficult decision to make this month as there are several good candidates for fish of the month. I’m selecting Colorado XJ’s fish Northern Pike as the fish of the month. If anyone who has fished for Northern’s knows they don’t come easy, so to bring one to net on a 5wt is a feat indeed.

As for picture of the month I’m selecting the picture submitted by Sasha on behalf of his friend SJDrifly. This easily could have been fish of the month too , but I really liked the composition of the picture as well as the colors of the fish. I think it captures the Brown in all its glory.

Thanks Sasha for posting that pic! That is probably the prettiest brown I have ever caught! I would have voted for the pike on a 3wt, that is impressive! thanks guys! BTW Sasha, I finally learned how to post pictures so I will post a pic in February of one of your fish, but first you have to get a kitchen pass ;)
