For some time now I have been playing around with tube flies, both traditional and contemporary patterns. They are lighter and more durable and can be used with different hook styles and because they slide up the line away from the fishes teeth they are extremely durable particularly when dealing with pike, bonito or any other toothy critters. If you would like to learn more about this type of fly we will be having a free tying class at Fishermen's Spot on Sunday 11/16 at 3 p.m. till whenever. Please call me for more details @ (818) 785-7306.
Below are some pics of some fresh and saltwater tubes.

Anyway, if you feel like checking it out just stop by the shop and join in.
