Oct Mtg Speaker: Doug Uyematsu/Salt Water Fly Fishing

Doug Uyematsu will be discussing salt water fly fishing, especially in the Long Beach Area, at this months meeting. The meeting is Thursday, Oct 28th at 7pm at the LBCC clubhouse located on East 7th street in Long Beach just West of PCH (between Santiago and Federation Dr). Admission is free. Cake/Ice Cream provided.

Doug has five current IGFA world records in the salt. He is a light tackle specialist, and often uses a 4-weight to wrestle in the croaker, corbina, bass, and myriad other species. Doug will be explaining everything you need to know about salt water angling: where to fish, when to fish, equipment to use, how to cast and retrieve, and what flies to tie (or buy) to imitate local bait fish and other foods.
