The Flyfisher is a quarterly magazine published by Federation of Fly Fishers aka FFF. Their latest edition has a special section: The Next Generation, Special Youth Edition. In this section is an article about Southern Sierra Fly Fishers Club's Kids Academy written by Chris Chamberlain, our outing director.

The article is well written and also quotes past President Bill Darbee: ”Every year, this event is our chance to cultivate a new generation of fly fishers. Over the years, this event has grown into something that any club would be proud to have. We have members who donate thousands of dollars, volunteer countless hours, and pour their hearts and souls into making this event special”

I would like to thank everyone connected with the Kids Academy and a special thanks goes to Shane Goslin our Kids Academy Chair.

Also in the magazine is the announcement of Guy Jeans winning the Lee Wulff Award.

Thanks,
Chiaki

Kudos to all involved with the Kids Academy. It's a great event that provides the kids involved an opportunity for some great instruction that they may otherwise never receive.

Jacob participated in either the first or second one and it was a great learning experience for him. And he had a lot of fun too! :)

And Congrats to Guy too EATDRINK1

Thanks, Chiaki. I'll look that up.

I had the chance to participate last year along with One2fish and a host of others. It was a well run and well received event that had the kids in awe of the learning experience and the fun the weekend had. Looking forward to this Spring and another round of kids.
