Congratulation to Randy Skidgel 2012 Southern Sierra Fly Fisher Of The Year. Randy exemplifies the definition of Fly Fisher Of The Year. He has helped numerous flyfishers and many organizations which help needy fly fishers. You won't see his name in lights, Randy does it in his own quiet way.

Randy was recently voted in as Vice President of SSFFC and his contributions as VP have already made positive impact on the Club.

Thanks
Chiaki

Congrats to Randy! He certainly steps up to help whenever he can.

BTW Chiaki, check your PMs as I just noticed you'd not opened the one I sent you last week.
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

Randy has always been a real gentleman. Seeing him with his grandson at last year's Kid's Academy was wonderful. Well deserved honor!

I had the pleasure to fish with Randy at the Carp Throwdown. A better companion and more savvy angler would be hard to find. He deserves the award! If you look at the bottom photo here, you will see an angler in the distance. That's Randy. It got tiring looking up and seeing him fighting yet another fish. Grrrrrr ! http://trouthugger.blogspot.com/2012/07/cmon-cmon-lets-go-carp-huggin.html.
