Real happy with how this rod turned out.
I think I am getting into this glass thing.

Lined up the rod and took it to the park.

I really like this rod. It is not only pretty it is great casting rod.
Light and responsive in hand.
Loaded perfectly with a DT 3 WT, this is a true 3 WT.
Using a relaxed casting motion cast accurate to 45' in a breeze.
Nice in close, for me it excelled from 15' - 40' good deal because that is how I plan to use it.
By putting a little more into my cast increase the range by 10'

I am excited to get this rod on the water and happy James Green is feruling a 5/6 blank for my buddy in NM to finish for me.

Jim Green lives in the Bay Area. I purchased the blank directly from James Green - he is extremely helpful and dedicated to his craft.

PM for his contact info.

Looks like a beauty! Need more pics! :D
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

Looks classic. How'sit compare to a Lamiglass? That's the only 3wt glass I've thrown. Also, what's approx pricing?

I am recently getting into glass.
This is a totally different bird than the full flex/parabolic Lamiglass.
These blanks a progressive medium action. They can toss a line and are accurate.
I am really digging glass on the small - medium streams. I am getting a 5/6 to try on larger water.

James Green sells complete rods, I am not sure of the cost, I bought a blank from him.
Blanks run $125 + depending on the length, weight, # of ferrules, type of glass, etc ...
I they are reasonably priced for the amount of time he puts into each blank.

If you swing by Silicon Babylon I'd be happy to let cast one of mine.
