wine carafe

wine carafe

I know I won't be humping a mini-keg of beer with my backpack as Mark did this past summer. However, I did just see that Backpacker mag highlighted a new soft-sided wine carafe that only weighs 1.5 oz. and costs $9.95. A big plus is that you can squeeze out the air if you don't finish it and it stays as fresh as a new bottle. It holds 750 ml. Two please! Added to the wish list for 2013. DRUNK I'll review it after first use, but wanted to post it here so I don't forget.

Hey Jon, can you fill it with dehydrated wine to reduce the weight? :bananadance:

I have two dedicated whiskey Platypus. They must leak or something though, they're always empty by day two.

Are you tempted to put a sipper hose on it so you can imbibe while hiking?
