If you are going to Bishop...gas

The Elms has been our place of choice with rates that are very low. We brought our own granola and yogurt for breakfast and El Pollo Chicken for Lunch. That leaves dinner and usually the cost is around $30.00 for the two of us. However, as much as I enjoy the rustic Elms I enjoy the quiet heater/A.C. of the finer places since I'm such a light sleeper and insomniac. La Q is also nice, as is "vaga", Comfort and Ramada but the rates of the hotels are climbing in Bishop. I'm thinking of staying in Big Pine if the rooms are less money... but than you have the cost of gas back and forth. OY! Summer is no problem staying outside in our tent, but winter... I just can't do it.

Now I'm shot in the foot. The Creekside Inn will be stopping the 'lite evening' meal after this weekend for the summer. So I booked a room at La Q for $75.00. It will be back to the Elms after this and then, once the weather heats up, camping. I'm new to the whole tenting thing so I'll be crossing my fingers. I like the heater idea. Who knows, but it will certainly bring the cost of Bishop back to a manageable taste. I'm leaving tomorrow morning at 6:00 and should be on the water by 10:00. If you see me come over and say hi.
