Congratulations, Chuck! You'll need to get yourself a bay boat and go after those Bonefish!

Congrats Chuck! I hope to someday retire! By then I'm sure it will have gone the way of the dodo bird..I unfortunately have to wait 30 more years!

Hope you find retirement a refreshing change of pace and that you get to spend more days with family and on the water!

Cheers!

Congratulations! More fishing days for a reward! :D
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

freaking awesome!!! I'm jealous! :bananadance: :bananadance: :bananadance:

I am befuddled by folks that say they wouldn't know what to do in retirement...... there are SOOOO many pieces of water in CA ALONE I have yet to fish, and I've been fishing the better part of 1/2 a century in this state.... I KNOW what I'm doing in my retirement!

Best to you!

Retirement - now that is a grand idea. I was lucky and retired 9 years ago - with more time than money. There is a lot to me said for retirement when you still have energy and health to follow your dreams.

It took 4 years of retirement before I discovered fly fishing. Of course, I was distracted by the pleasure of riding old British motorcycles around the roads in the Sierras as well as other parts of the world.

Retirement is a fine time to hone your personal discipline to get things done. You are not doing for a boss, but for yourself. It is hard to realize how different that is when you are working.

The fly fishing aspect is just grand.

I wish you good health, and an appreciation for what is coming. Enjoy! Enjoy!
