Todd Moen is one of the reasons why I subscribe to Catch Magazine. I love his cinematography.

Thanks for posting that video. Someone needs to create a fly that flaps its wings. Those pictures of the fish coming up from the bottom and inhaling the bugs are impressive.

The Deschutes is a a huge river, but much of the trout fishing takes place a few feet from its banks.

Yeah, I was the same, but then I figured 2 bucks an issue wasn't too bad. And all the back issues were included, too.

Redsides, went to a class in Maupin on the Deschutes, Randall Kaufman's, was hoping on improving my nymphing skills, only problem was the salmonfly hatch was in full swing. Spent all weekend thowing Stimi's that Randall had taught us to tie. After class was let out on the last day a few of us went off to fish, landed lots of fish, but not as many as David Hughes, (writer & one of the instructor's), he picked up 99 that afternoon!

With the onslaught of all the(bad)fly fishing videos, I've become jaded. Mr. Moen's work is exceptional, and mesmerizing.

If you go to Todd Moen's website, watch his Fall Run video
about steelhead fishing. It is unreal, and there is one scene where they chase a fish that is memorable.

Gotta love the bow 'n arrow. It's an ETC staple.
