I'm Mike from Atwater Village, California. Been fishing all my life, but only got into fly fishing a couple years ago. Actually, the tying is what interested me the most. It only took tying a couple flies to get me to go buy a fly rod and reel and start learning to fly fish in the Santa Monica Surf. The next couple years are a blur of feathers, fur, glue, false casts, hook removal from various parts of my body, lots of money leaving my bank account and lots of fish caught and released in the surf. Now I find myself here, now, a full blown addict sitting at a desk surrounded by tools and materials; rods and reels; and posting on a site called Fly Fishing Addicts. Stoked!
I hope to contribute as much as I learn here.
