With warm weather upon us, treating the trout with respect is a priority. Most members on the forum are happy to snap a photo of their catch, and to practice C&R. However, sometimes the taking of the photo causes as much stress as if the fish were to be laid on the ground.
The August photo contest is "A Fish in Water..." Post up your best shot of a caught fish with at least part of the fish still in the water. Or, post up a shot of a fish in it's natural environment (breaking surface for a fly, underwater photo's etc).
Limit is 2 shots that you took yourself. It doesn't have to be a fish you caught. If you are submitting 2, keep them in the same post. It doesn't matter when or where they were taken. B&W, HDR, and post-processing is allowed. The contest will be weighted with the subject matter counting first, and aesthetics second. The contest will be judged by the beautiful and talented artist, Ms WanderingBlues... WInner takes home an FFA T-shirt in either Sage or Sand.
I've included an example by a great fly tosser and photographer out of Provo, Justin Hamblin. Good luck!
