New SoCal Guide...Hopefully!

Postby thtsarumr » January 9th, 2009, 9:13 pm

I got out of work early today so I decided to take my youngest daughter along with me to the local fly shop to pick up some tying materials for some flies for the Owens trip coming up in a couple weeks. I got what I needed and began to talk to one of the shop dogs there. Turns out that they mainly run salt water and warm water trips out of the shop so I asked if they needed any guides for some cold water fishing. They said they sure did. So after a little background on me and what I could bring to the shop he said I would be perfect. So I need to have a chat with the head shop dog to work out everything as far as permits and insurance waivers through the shop and hopefully I will be taking clients to fish for trout and possibly some carp and bass if the shop need another hand on larger group outings. I will post more on this in the very near future.

P.S. The shop still has one more Sage 3100 reel left so if there is anyone wanting to match up an ultralight sage rod with a sage reel send me a pm for info. Its marked at $286 but you could probably pick it up for about half that.

It's always cool when you can be the monopoly, gives you a big edge! Good luck with it, and I'm looking forward to meeting you the following weekend.
