Flyfishingaddicts.com Casting Games and Pot luck

We're having another Casting Games and Pot Luck at Dana Point Harbor Park on Sunday, September 29,2013 from 10:00 until ? The usual fare...Main Dish...Salads...Side Dishes...Bread/rolls...Dessert. The Casting Games are a lot of fun...you can learn a lot from our Casting Gurus and the honored guest this year will be Zee the Czech fly fisherman. He'll be coming off a week in the Sierras and should be in rare form.
It's all very low key and laid back.

These are a lot of fun and you get to see folks you haven't seen since last year. Look for more as I get the time to get it together.

This is an exciting event....how can I miss it!

Although Sunday will make it hard to get up at 3:30 on Monday! :bob:

I think we'll have a popper tossing event! :bananadance:

Ok, who is messing with me here.....I did not type this in!
But it sounds like fun! I will have to bring my popper tossing rod!

There's nothing like throwing poppers while wearing frilly women's underwear! :TMI: ADMIN

I would also like to add that for those of you who are or have been on the edge about coming to this event, it is more than worth it just for the FREE casting instructions from the Grand Masters!

I have actually applied many of the techniques I have learned, in those difficult situations where I would have normally just walked away in frustration.....and rewarded with a prized catch!

The food, the camaraderie, it's all there, putting faces to names and avatars, and setting up future fishing dates, a great day to be sure, you will not be disappointed.

Sorry Bob...I did it by accident...thought I was using the "quote" button and making a reply. I mentioned it because of our shared experiences recently with Luc. Yes, the Casting Games are great fun and you can learn something to boot! You also get to try out some very nice rods of all types....from Bamboo to Salt.
I am looking forward to seeing Zee and introducing him (and his casting) to those who haven't met him.

Another year I have to miss this great event. I'll be up on the Trinity and surrounding waters for 15 days. Maybe next year.

Hoping to make it. I'll bring beer and red cups.

I was going to hit the east side with Jim, Mark and Zee but just couldn't make it. Just got done talking to Jim and they are having a great time and the fishing is good for them on the Lower O. Will be looking forward to the fish stories at the Casting Games.
