I have his book Native Trout of western North America. I am always looking for information on Cutthroat Trout and he had some important things to say about them.

Reading his Trout and Salmon of North America, I could sense his great passion for the subject.
Peace, Dr.Trout.

He left some large shoes to fill, TSNA should be in every trout fishers library, an outstanding reference. RIP, and thanks B2. milt

Man, he's kinda my hero. I emailed back and forth with him/his wife a couple times and they seemed like great folks. Sad times.

Our community lost a good one, probably the single best researcher in terms of trout biology the world has yet seen.
Fishing is the most wonderful thing I do in my life, barring some equally delightful unmentionables.
