After going swimming on the Henry's Fork a couple years ago, I bought some Simms felt soled waders for slippery footing wading, and only use my Patagonia Sticky soles for meadow streams, and grassy banks, where they excel. It's a good system now, without having to compromise.

Bill,
I went swimming on the Henry’s Fork a couple of years ago also. But it wasn’t because I slipped, I was crossing the river and it just kept getting deeper until I was unable to stand on my tippy toes. At that point I just said the * with it and swam the rest of the way. :doh: I was wet wading and it was no big deal, but it did bring a few laughs from some of the other fly fisherman nearby. :funnyup:
