That's a nice fish and sounds like it put up a heckuva fight.

I've fished there with Stanbery and a few others and have always been amazed at the variety of wildlife that makes their home there. Caught one once but with Jon's help, it wouldn't have happened. Will have to make another foray.

Big fish for sure. If carp weren't so ugly they would be up there with the salmonoids. Speaking of salmon, did anybody notice the caption... Fishing for carp, waiting for steelhead... I hope he's just a kid and lives to 150, maybe by then everything will be different.

The caption is certainly a discussion unto itself!

Wildman, one of the times I was down there, I almost left because the bird life was so out of control and LOUD. It's a * jungle! I confess, the water can leave an odd scent on your gear. I'm not really stoked on that,
