Sorry for the bad news. Hope you find something soon. I just dont understand it, the President said the economy is better than ever, unemployment is down, there are jobs everywhere....he wouldn't lie...

Wade and Gary, sorry to hear about the job loss. I realize that not having a computer can make finding a job tougher but don't let it get you down. A while back my wife got let go from her job, (actually it was a construction co. and it went under ) . She found her current job in the help wanted section of the news paper if you can believe it. She was out of work for about 6 weeks and I have never seen any one work harder to find a job. It's tough out there but try to set your mind in a positive direction and think out side of the box. Good luck to both of you. This economy is so fragile it wouldn't take much shaking to see more of this kind of thing.

Yes, another reason to use the local library. You can check out the local newspapers for jobs and access the internet at the public workstations. I've used the ones at the Mammoth library many times when up there during the summer. Good luck.

That is what I plan to do for a little while. I have not been able to spend the time on the the water like I use to and would like to make up for it a little. I've knew it was a possibility for a while now and planned ahead. I had tried to plan a JMT hike for this summer but the wife is drawing a line on that one.

Making beer is a noble cause that I fully support (unless you're working for one of the big breweries that spews out * water they call beer) If you run across any outstanding IPAs, inform me please. Right now I've been favoring Denogginizer and any IPA/DIPA from Firestone.

Drakes and Firestone are two of the best hoppy beer makers in the world - you're doing well! Where do you live? The brewery I used to work for, Beachwood, makes killer IPAs and highly worth seeking out. SoCal distro only, and get scooped up very quick. I've since taken a job at Crooked Stave in Denver, we focus on wild and sour Belgian-style ales.
