Carpn' Outfit up for Grabs!

Postby flybob » April 28th, 2014, 4:43 pm

Up for grabs! One LA River Carpn' Outfit.
A few years back, I visited the LA River for the first time, needless to say, having been born and raised in LA, I came prepared!
I did ok that day, for a rookie, but the couple of times I have been back, I was met with some stink, a little of SKUNK and a lot of Who Knows What?
In any event, the outfit has been gathering dust, and I have gained a few pounds, so I am afraid I am going to have to give it up.

Included:
1 Hazmat Bunny Suit
1 Particle Mask, (Only filters out the BIG stuff and it might have a few beard hairs in it)
1 pair of Chem Lab silicon gloves, I believe they are rated for hydrochloric acid?
1 pair of “Eyesavers” Safety Goggles, (when you get fin slapped by that big ol’ carp.)

Unfortunately the ultra light super grip sneakers dissolved some time ago.
Also, just in case you are concerned, the outfit stopped glowing last year.

OH, the rod and reel? I had them de-con’d, so they are still serving me well and not part of the deal.

Hope you all have been well,
bob :)

Bob,

So how did you get that Hazmat suit around that beard of yours? I would think it would not make a good seal…

That was the day I met you.....I was with Stanbery and it was my first time at the LA River. I was pretty amazed at the river and at the outfit. It was classic stuff!

That was hilarious! Fun times!

Shouldn't that outfit be red tagged as hazardous waste? :D

:P :P :P

Hey Guys, Glad you appreciated the fun, yeah I remember that day like it was yesterday...and I STILL hate carp!
I know I have been scarce lately, this was just my attempt at a little levity in what some would consider mildly serious times.

I am making some serious attempts at spooling back up to my ridiculous self again, not to mention the gills and bass are biting again! :bananadance:

Yeah but will that suit keep you dry?

Welcome back and hope to see you around more. You know what they say, "all work and no play makes Bob a dull boy!"
