This topic never ceases to amaze me. Thanks for sharing. I've worked with Rosi and she is super cool and super driven. John, your post reminds me of one on fishingnetwork.net a good 10 years or so ago of one taken in Dana Harbor too. I've taken a few stabs at the quest for one of these (legally) but regs and, of course, scarcity of fish make it a very tough mission. I have had a few fun moments and even led people to the fish when it was too far for me to make the drive - waaah. One of the things I ponder often is the remnant "steelie" genes that may persist above some of our local dams. That "hunt" may not yield monsters but is fun especially when there's a solid run after rain or runoff. As for proper ocean-run fish, well one day ...
