I can see needing a 14wt, but I caught this fish on a 7wt spey rod. It was touch and go right to the end, but as you can see, I prevailed. BTW, I contemplated submitting this catch to IGFA, since it was on 6lb tippet. I decided I wasn't in fly fishing for the fame and glory. I do it for the cool accessories, and the after fishing beer drinking.
